Welcome remarks from the governor of Arkhagelsk region Alexander Tsybulkiy

Dear friends! Participants and guests of the "White June" international festival!

For the fifth year in a row, Arkhangelsk is hosting this large, multi-faceted festival where everyone can find an event to their liking. For 10 days, the capital of our region will be buzzing with art and creativity. The largest festival in Northern Russia will feature over 900 events across 12 different areas.

This festival made its first appearance in 2020 with a focus on books, and five years later, this remains our biggest draw. The festival venues will host meetings with authors and new releases' presentations.

For the kids who had a blast being a part of "White June" last year, we’ve got an even more exciting program lined up. For instance, Petrovsky Park will host the "Festival of Professions" for the first time, giving the kids an opportunity to try out different careers for a few hours.

Krasnaya Pier will be the main music stage for "White June 2024." Theater and film enthusiasts will be delighted by performances and screenings, both on the main stage in the Arkhangelsk region and at open-air venues.

The festival of northern culinary traditions, "Pomor Cuisine", is set to be the tastiest event of the summer and will undoubtedly attract many guests.

With this being the Year of Youth, many events are geared towards the younger generation, and we’re dedicating another new feature, "Graduation" to the region's recent graduates.

"White June" will coincide with the 440th anniversary of Arkhangelsk, making it a historic event for our region.

To make sure you don’t miss out on any of the fun, I recommend checking out the program in advance and planning your schedule.

I wish the festival organizers lots of grateful attendees and success in reaching their most ambitious goals, and to all our guests, I hope you have many interesting encounters and unforgettable experiences!
